Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, billing details, and any content you submit through the platform. We also automatically collect technical data like IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and usage events to operate and secure the service.

When you connect a storefront, support inbox, or telephony provider, we process the data those systems share with DigitalBegleiter strictly to deliver the features you have enabled.

2. How we use information

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the DigitalBegleiter platform and AI products.
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud, and protect account security.
  • Process payments, issue invoices, and apply credit balances.
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, payment confirmations, security alerts).
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. Legal bases

We rely on contract performance (delivering the service you purchased), legitimate interests (improving the product, securing the platform), consent (optional analytics, marketing), and legal obligations (tax, accounting, fraud prevention).

4. Sharing of data

We share data with subprocessors that host our infrastructure, process payments, and deliver email. We do not sell personal data. Subprocessors are bound by data-processing agreements that mirror the commitments we make to you.

5. International transfers

Data may be processed in regions outside your country. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect transfers.

6. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and security obligations. You can request deletion at any time, subject to those obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at [email protected] to exercise these rights.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

DigitalBegleiter is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced via email or in-product notice before they take effect.
